Rina Santora
Class Year: 2000 Degree: B.S. Health Sciences Profession: Business Developer, Hoag Hospital
Rina Santora ’00 was a nurse for over 30 years when she decided to return to school for a degree in health sciences. Rina works in business development at Hoag Hospital building corporate partnerships to promote health education in the community. As a working mother, she took advantage of both our home campus in Orange and our University College campus in Irvine, allowing her to pursue further education despite time constraints. Rina was always impressed by the personalized and distinguished level of education she received at both campuses and attributes the completion of her degree to her outstanding professors.
Being a Part of the Chapman Movement Rina sees that the school works hard to expand and identifies with the enthusiasm and excitement of the school’s vision to become a preeminent university. After attending American Celebration one year, she was moved to contribute to the school in some way.
“When I attended American Celebration, I could feel the excitement of the Chapman community and its movement to becoming the best university it can be. And I wanted to be a part of that movement.”
Continuing the Legacy Rina became a member of the President’s Circle by making a donation to the school to help provide scholarships for students. She loves being a part of Chapman’s growth and support for the students who attend. Rina encourages other alumni to make a gift: “Chapman alumni are the best to understand the university’s value and potential and can give back what they received.”
Rina’s son Joshua attended Chapman and her daughter Nicole is enrolled for fall 2006. “I’m proud to be a part of the Chapman community and hope that my children and grandchildren will continue that legacy.”
