Student Representative

Class: 2008
Degree: MBA
Major: Business Administration
Term Expires: 5/31/08

Crandall Kermott ’08 graduated from Baylor University in 2005 with a Communications degree. After graduation, he chose to pursue his MBA at Chapman University because of the high degree of respect the school has garnered among his family, friends, and throughout the community. Also, Crandall is very family-oriented, and with his immediate family residing in Dana
Point, California, the convenience of Chapman’s Orange campus was an attractive choice.

Although Crandall has just recently completed the first year of his MBA degree, he has assumed a position of leadership in Chapman’s MBA program. He currently serves as President of the Entrepreneurial club, which he founded to help compliment course offerings and extracurricular activities offered by the MBA program. In addition, he is helping start an Ambassador club for MBA students to help spread national awareness of Chapman’s business school. Along with these two projects, Crandall is also working to create another organization to improve the public speaking skills of students.

Crandall has developed a serious interest in entrepreneurship, to such an extent that he plans on pursuing a Ph.D after his graduation from Chapman. Through his education, Crandall has come to the realization that the most important way to build school pride and increase participation is through the interaction of alumni and current students, stating that it is his mission to help build meaningful and lasting relationships that will result in real change and growth within the Chapman community.
