Although Adam Riffe ’95 was an active student during his undergraduate years at the Orange campus, he had little interest in furthering his involvement with Chapman post-graduation: “I never imagined I would be a part of (the Alumni Association) as a student nor as an alumnus.” Adam played on the men’s tennis team and served on the Associated After graduation, Adam focused on obtaining his CPA certificate and jump-starting his career. He is now the Chief Financial Officer for Innovative Healthcare Management, a company that works with physician partners to develop and manage outpatient surgery centers. Yet despite Adam’s plans, he found it difficult to stay away from his fun-loving fraternity, and became the current chapter advisor in 2000. His devotion to Pi Kappa Alpha led him back on campus and into the networking circle of Alumni Board members like Carl Hill ’78 and John Silberstein ’88. Adam was asked to serve on the board in 2002, and the rest is history. He was named Alumnus of the Year in 2002, and served as president of the Alumni Association from June 1, 2004 to May 31, 2007. Adam believes his involvement with the Alumni Association to be a “wonderful opportunity to meet students who will become alumni in a few short years as well as alumni who span generations, back to when Chapman wasn’t even on the Orange campus.” Adam Riffe served as the president of the Alumni Association Board of Directors from 2006 to 2007, then as immediate past president through May 2008. |
