Dennis Parrett Member-at-Large Class: 1962 Degree: BA Major: Economics/Business Term Expires: 05/31/09
Dennis Parrett received his BA in Economics/Business from Chapman University in 1962. While attending Chapman, he served as president of Knights, and graduated Cum Laude. Mr. Parrett then proceeded to earn an MBE at Claremont Graduate School. Since his graduation, he has served as President of the Chapman Alumni Association from 1983 to 1985, and has since remained actively involved with the Argyros School of Business and Economics.
Mr. Parrett devotes much of his time to the Kiwanis Club of Santa Ana, where he has served as President (1992 – 93), and is currently the Program Chair. His service experience also includes work with the Orange County Planned Giving Roundtable, as well as the Estate and Trust Planning Councils of both Chapman University and Children’s Hospital of Orange County. He is also a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters, and is a Guest Lecturer at the University of California campus in Irvine. Dennis holds certification as a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant, a rigorous professional education that has led to much of his success. His professional experience ranges from Estate Analysis and Tax Planning to serving as a consultant to businesses tackling issues of Business Life, Health Insurance, and Employee Benefit Plans. Today Dennis is self-employed as Dennis Parrett, CLU & Associates.
His daughter Chanda ’89, ’02, serves as the Executive Director of the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation in Orange.
