Maylynn Morales ’01 is the corporate accounting manager for a private commercial real estate investment firm. She also uses her business acumen to invest in real estate on her own. Maylynn brings her experiences as a successful professional and world traveler to the Alumni Association Board. She came to Chapman after receiving a scholarship for her talents as a classically trained pianist. Though she still maintains a love for and appreciation of music, she followed her heart and earned a degree in business administration. An active alumna, Maylynn states that her primary goal in her service to the Alumni Association is to further enhance the size and influence of the Alumni network, both socially and professionally. In fact, Maylynn contacts Chapman when her company has job openings, ensuring that her organization benefits from the best and the brightest minds from Chapman’s Argyros School. She also serves as an active member of Women of Wilkinson, an organization dedicated to advancing the intellectual climate of women in academia. She remains involved with Chapman’s Conservatory of Music, regularly attending wind symphony concerts, chamber orchestra, choir events and recitals. An example of the hospitality of the Chapman community, she enjoys opening her home to host gatherings of alumni, with whom she remains very close. Maylynn is a wine aficionado, as well as an avid world traveler, having explored Asia, South America, Central America and Europe. Her brother, Erick Morales, is a member of Chapman’s Class of 2008. |
