Hector Godinez is a second generation Californian and Orange County native, currently residing in Newport Beach. His educational experience is extensive, including an MA in Public Administration, an Ed.D in Education, as well as teaching and administrative services credentials from Chapman University, which he received in 1992.
Hector Godinez is also an experienced community leader, which is evident from his frequent involvement in service organizations, including: Kiwanis Club (10 years), Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Advisory Board Keep America Beautiful, Past Trustee - Orange County Cemetery District, Past Member of the Orange County Economic Development Planning Committee, Past Chairman of the Santa Ana Planning Commission, Past Board member of the Santa Ana Economic Development Corporation, Past President of the Santa Ana/Tustin YMCA, Past President of the Bowers Museum Board of Trustees, and recipient of the City of Santa Ana Citizenship Award (1982). Present activities include: California State University Fullerton Alumni Association-Member, Chapman University Alumni Association-Board, Chapman School of Education Alumni Society-Board, Mater Dei Alumni Association-Member, National & California Council for the Social Studies-Member, and Pi Lambda Theta International Honor Society and Professional Association in Education-Member.
Mr. Godinez is currently employed as a teacher and part time community college instructor. He has three children; Tiffany Hayden, April Landreth, and Hector Godinez III.
