Frank Delgadillo Member-at-Large Class: 1996 Degree: BA Major: Legal Studies Term Expires: 5/31/10
Frank Delgadillo ’96 is the founder and president of Ambiguous Clothing, a popular brand among today’s young and hip. Frank graduated from Chapman University in 1996 as a Legal Studies Major, but decided to forego a life of litigating in America’s courtrooms to chase a dream: making a living doing something that makes him happy. In his case this meant making clothes his friends would want to wear.
Frank’s many friends, including artists, musicians, skateboarders, snowboarders and surfers came to define his product and company. His hard work and vision paid off, as Ambiguous achieved great success selling designs that stood out from current trends. He is currently working on an unconventional new marketing project, “Ambiguous Film Division,” with the goal to further brand awareness while giving young artists a platform to display their works. Additionally, Frank is working on a new project, The Smooth Company, which will offer a line of men’s clothing with a contemporary flair. Frank is hoping to bring his creativity and entrepreneurial spirit to his service with the Alumni Association board.
His community spirit and philanthropic heart has led him to assist kids in his neighborhood. Frank has also been generous with his free time by helping his alma mater in ways that include supporting the School of Education’s Read Around the Clock fundraiser. Also, he shares his knowledge, expertise and unique business sense with our future global leaders in the business world by providing Ambiguous internships for Chapman University students. Frank was also the recipient of the Alumni Association’s prestigious Young Alumnus Award in 2006.
