International Students VISA InformationChapman University (Orange campus) was first authorized to issue I-20 A-B’s, needed to apply for F-1 visas, in 1954. In January, 2003 Chapman was recertified, as required by the newly formed Department of Homeland Security, to issue SEVIS I-20’s to international students.
Once you are admitted to Chapman University and have submitted your intent to enroll, your I-20 will be mailed shortly there after. Due to the increased level of security clearances, it is advisable to begin the visa application process as soon as possible. Go to http://usembassy.state.gov/, click on your home country, then “visa services” and read all information provided. You can also download the necessary forms needed for visa application.
Once you receive your visa, immigration law does not allow you to enter the USA more than thirty days prior to the report date on the I-20. If you experience difficulties or have questions, you may contact the International Student Services Coordinator at (714) 997-6829 or sams@chapman.edu.
