Undergraduate Application Checklist

1. The Common Application
Applications are only transmitted to Chapman upon successful online submission of all three components through The Common Application Website:
• The Common Application
• Chapman University Supplemental Application
• Application Fee of $65
Tips for using the online application including technical support are available on The Common Application Website.

2. Letter of Recommendation
A letter should be requested from a core-subject teacher (alternatively an employer or clergy member) using either the Teacher Evaluation form in the Common Application or submitted on their own letterhead.

3. Secondary School Report
Applicants should request their high school counselors complete this form through The Common Application.
(Waived for transfer students with over 24 units completed and posted on transcripts)

4. Official High School Transcripts
Transcripts must remain in an envelope sealed by the high school records office in order to be considered official, or sent electronically by the high school through Docufide or Naviance.
(Waived for transfer students with over 60 units completed and posted on transcripts)

5. SAT or ACT w/ Writing- sent directly from the testing company
Results are required from all testing attempts; please do not exclude any scores when you submit them to us.
(Waived for transfer students with over 24 units completed and posted on transcripts)

6. Official College Transcripts (If applicable)
Transcripts must remain in an envelope sealed by the college records office in order to be considered official, or sent electronically by the institution’s records office. We require official transcripts for all college course work attempted.

7. Additional Requirements for Talent Majors
Certain majors have additional department-specific requirements. Applicants for Art, Dance, Film & Media Arts, Music, and Theatre must complete the requirements listed for their area of study in order to have their application reviewed by the Admission Committee.

8. Additional Requirements for International Applicants
 Proof of English Proficiency
• Financial Certification Form
