Common Requirements
Approved GE courses (The following approved GE courses are for Fall 2008, all other catalog years refer to the Catalogs site.)

The classes listed below will satisfy the requirements in the following areas. See the Course Schedules to plan which classes you can take in the coming term.

Quantitative Reasoning (3 credits)

Students will satisfy this requirement by completing one semester of calculus or one semester of statistics in the Department of Mathematics.

Foreign Language (6 credits)

Students will complete two college-level courses in the same language.

World Cultures (9 credits)

Students will fulfill this requirement by taking three courses from at least two disciplines; one of the courses must be at the upper division level. The courses may fulfill both GE Breadth and major requirements (may be double counted). World Cultures courses shall not double count in fulfillment of the Human Diversity requirement. Cross-listed courses will only count for the discipline in which the student enrolls.
