General Education Program Catalog Years 2003-2006
The mission of Chapman University is to provide a personalized "Education of Distinction" that leads to inquiring, ethical, and productive lives as global citizens.
We deliver that mission through an integrative liberal learning approach to achieving intellectual, social, and moral development. You will develop core skills, knowledge, and values that will bring together what you learn in your major with the knowledge you gain across many disciplines in your general education experience. It begins with the Freshman Foundations Course and builds through your four years in general education courses and your major field of study.
General Education courses fall into 4 categories. Learn more about which courses satisfy each:
Upper-division capstone courses and senior projects give you a chance to reflect on what you have learned, bringing together the knowledge you have developed and reinforcing the skills you have acquired.
