Tutee Privileges and Responsibilities

  • To qualify, a student must be a currently registered Chapman University student with a valid student ID number
  • The student should be enrolled in the course in which they would like to be tutored.
  • Students may receive up to 3 hours of free appointment tutoring a week, if the tutor is available
  • The student must be willing to take an active stance in improving his/her grade
  • Students are expected to arrive at their appointments on time or call their tutor or the CAS if they need to cancel or be late to an appointment; failure to give sufficient notice may result in the loss of tutoring priviledges.
  • Students are expected to come to their appointments prepared with paper, pencil, text and homework that has been attempted.
  • Students must come with specific questions and problems in mind. Tutors are not expected to cover material which has not been read. Students must visit the professor in regards to missed classes.
