Refunds and Withdrawals

Full Refunds are available prior to the first day of class. In order to receive a refund, students must contact the same campus location that they contacted in order to enroll. Your program assistant will provide you with the proper instructions. You may not drop a course using Web Advisor (the registration system for Chapman University undergraduate and graduate students).

Following the first day of class, policies vary by course type as stated below.
  • For Online courses, students may receive 100% of their tuition prior to the first day of class, 90% within the first week of class, and 80% within the second week of classes. There are no refunds after the second week of classes. You may access the add-drop form at University College Forms Center webpage.

  • For BTSA, CTEL, Seminar Practicum, Independent Study and Learning Circle courses, you may request a refund in writing postmarked 30 days from your registration date. A $20 processing fee will be withheld. After 30 days, there are no refunds.

  • For onsite courses, check with your local campus.
