Campus Controller
- Support and enhance the primary teaching research and service mission of Chapman University by ensuring personalized financial, logistical and administrative support; maintaining and enhancing the university's infrastructure, financial data and fiduciary services in an ethical and responsible manner.
Campus Planning, Facilities Management and Property Management/University Housing
Continue to revise and implement the Campus (Facilities) Plan.
Collaborate with the office of the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer to create and maintain a strong alliance with Old Towne Orange neighbors and businesspeople.
Support, maintain, and improve the campus infrastructure for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, while preserving the university's physical heritage.
Continue to collaborate and educate the City of Orange, active civic organizations, and our neighbors about the university's continuing plan to upgrade and enhance the campus, providing added value to the City of Orange's already outstanding quality of life.
Provide housing alternatives to faculty and students, enabling them to have easy access to campus and the dining, shopping and service amenities of Old Towne Orange.
Conferences & Scheduling
- Provide professional, service oriented room scheduling to the university community and comprehensive event management services to non-university programs.
Human Resources
Manage the university's human resources through training and development activities as well as create innovative, time-tested means to recognize the individual and collective contributions by staff and faculty to the university's well-being.
Manage the human resources of the university with respect, recognizing and honoring individuality and the value of each person's commitment.
Information Systems & Technology (including Telecommunications)
Implement innovative technological answers to various issues, including constant improvement of the delivery of telecommunication, budget modeling, laundry services and particularly delivery of educational support services.
Internal Audit
- Provide the university with an independent and objective process for monitoring and evaluating the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information as well as the means used to identify, measure, classify, and report such information.
Legal Affairs
- Provide information on a proactive basis to the university community, facilitate legal transactions, and offer and coordinate responsive and timely legal advice and representation to enable campus leaders to meet their goals in a sound and ethical manner.
Public Safety & Transportation Services
- Provide a safe environment conducive to learning, working, and personal growth through the development of partnerships with all university community members.
- Coordinate and implement parking policies in order to provide maximum parking opportunities for all university constituents with minimum impact on the surrounding City of Orange community.
- Provide fire safety training/evacuation and emergency drills and code enforcement of fire regulations for the entire campus community.
Restaurant Services/Sodexo
Provides the university community with fresh and innovative restaurant and catering services.
Sodexo's culinary and management expertise allows the university to offer a unique variety of dining experiences on campus.
Risk Management
- Provide support and consultation to staff and faculty on a wide range of matters that impact the financial health and wellbeing of the university community.
- Identify, evaluate, and control loss exposures faced by the university.
- Minimize the adverse effects of predictable and unpredictable events.
- Work collaboratively with the university's Environmental Health & Safety Specialist.
