Studies of Age laboratory (SAGE) was established in 2004 to conduct studies of adult decision-making and problem solving. Students learn about research design, data collection, data analysis, and dissemination of research results through participation at research conferences and manuscript preparation. Overall, the main goal of our past, present, and future research programs is to increase our understanding of the psychological processes involved in human decision-making. Specifically, to understand how and why people make decisions and to create effective ways to intervene when the individual is at risk for an unsatisfactory outcome.
