Dr. Eyal Amitai has been invited to participate in a workshop at the University of Iowa

Dr. Eyal Amitai, associate professor in the Department of Physics, Computational Science and Engineering, has been invited to participate at a special workshop at the University of Iowa in early June to discuss concepts for hydrological validation of the Global Precipitation Measurement (GPM) mission. GPM is a future international satellite-based mission to understand global precipitation and its impact on humankind. The core satellite is expected to be launch in 2013. Amitai is a principal investigator on a NASA award for evaluating satellite-based precipitation products.
