Communication Disorders Quarterly - Judy Montgomery, Ph.D.

Communication Disorders Quarterly (CDQ) presents cutting edge information on typical and atypical communication -- from oral language development to literacy. The journal also offers assessment of and interventions for communicative disorders across the lifespan. It includes research reports, a clinical forum that reports theoretical applications in clinical and educational settings, short tutorials on specific topics or clinical procedures, and media reviews.

Contemporary School Psychology - Michael Hass, Ph.D.

Contemporary School Psychology, formerly known as The California School Psychologist, is a refereed journal published annually by CASP Contemporary School Psychology is devoted to contemporary issues in school psychology with the goal of publishing high-quality articles that link theory to practice. The journal is an appropriate venue for articles that: (1) critically review research on topics of general interest to school psychologists in California and nationwide, (2) report research relevant to practicing school psychologists, (3) present promising practices or programs that address the needs of children and youth, and (4) critically reflect on the professional of school psychology and the challenges faced by the profession. It is also the intent of the journal to highlight the diversity of viewpoints in the profession and of the students, parents, and communities served by school psychologists in California and elsewhere.

Trainers Forum - Kelly Kennedy, Ph.D.

We publish a semi-annual, peer-refereed journal, Trainers' Forum, which features articles relevant to the preparation of school psychologists. The journal is designed for a readership of academics who shape the field of school psychology. The Trainers Forum invites articles concerned with research and program applications related to the training of school psychologists. Pertinent areas include, but are not limited to, assessment and intervention practice. Libraries and publishers can purchase subscriptions to Trainers' Forum.

Perspectives on School-Based Issues - Sally Giess, Ph.D.

Perspectives is the member publication for the Special Interest Groups (SIGs) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. The SIGs began publishing newsletters for their affiliates in 1991. Those publications have expanded and evolved over the years and are now reviewed according to the criteria set forth by the Continuing Education Board of ASHA.

Perspectives is focused on narrow topics of interest to professionals practicing in or conducting research related to communications sciences and disorders. Typically, Perspectives is disorder-oriented (e.g., swallowing and swallowing disorders), though some SIGs focus on topics across disorders (e.g.,gerontology or diversity) or that relate to pedagogy or supervision.

Issues in Teacher Education - Suzanne SooHoo, Ph.D., and Joel Colbert, Ed.D.

Issues in Teacher Education (ITE) is a scholarly publication focused on the education of teachers from initial preparation through induction and ongoing professional growth.  ITE examines teaching from a practical stance, inviting commentary, discussion and analysis on the nature and quality of the profession from a variety of perspectives.
