Undergraduate Academic Programs

The Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP) is designed for students who aspire to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.  The athletic training profession is a unique allied healthcare profession, where certified athletic trainers (ATCs) serve as physical medicine extenders and rehabilitation experts providing prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of acute and chronic injuries and illnesses for physically active people.  The ATEP is structured for students interested in careers and/or graduate studies in a variety of complementary, health-care provider fields.

The College of Educational Studies also offers two programs for undergraduates interested in classroom teaching:

• The Liberal Studies program is for students who want a comprehensive program to prepare them to be Elementary Education Teachers.
• Single Subject preparation is for students interested in middle or high school teaching.
