Facilities
Clinical Laboratory Each ATEP clinical course is instructed in the large laboratory classroom located in the Hutton Sports Center, which features multiple exam/treatment tables and mirrored walls. Students are provided with ample equipment and supplies for instructor-guided, hands-on practice in the use and application of diagnostic and assessment instruments, therapeutic modalities and exercise, emergency care (e.g., CPR and AED), manual techniques, wound care, taping and wrapping, and more. This lab is organized to promote individualized coaching by instructors as students refine their clinical skills daily while working with lab partners.
Athletic Training Facility Chapman's athletic training facility serves as the primary clinical site of the Athletic Training Education Program. Optimally organized in a spacious 1,600 square feet, the facility includes various stations for prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Therapeutic modalities include electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, iontophoresis, and hydrotherapy. There is also a wide variety of strength and conditioning/rehabilitation equipment available, including Cybex isokinetic rehabilitation computerized device, Swiss balls and foam rollers, Theraband, dumbbells, stationary bicycles, an upper body ergometer, and much more. There are exam tables and mirrors, as well as plenty of open space for students to benefit from hands-on learning experiences.
Human Performance Laboratory (HPL) This outstanding 1,400 square foot facility features four electrocardiograms, three treadmills, four spirometers, five bicycle ergometers, a hydrostatic weighing tank, and ten heart rate monitors. This laboratory is also equipped with a SMART Board™ interactive whiteboard, video projector, DVD/VHS and computer with internet access. The HPL also houses the athletic training student library and workroom with additional computers that include Primal Pictures 3D anatomical software and other study support tools.
Argyros Fitness Center The 4,000 square foot fitness center provides a state-of-the-art training ground for Chapman Athletics teams, physical activity classes, students and faculty. The fitness center includes a variety of cardiovascular, circuit and free-weight training equipment.

Lastinger Athletic Complex Completed in the summer of 2008, this state-of-the-art $20.5 million complex includes:
- The 2,000-seat Ernie Chapman Stadium
- The Holly and David Wilson Field, featuring a multi-use synthetic athletic surface and a 900-space underground parking structure beneath the stadium
- The Folino Family Aquatics Center, with its 500-seat Frank E. and Mary O'Bryan Aquatics Stadium and Zee Allred Olympic Pool
- The Athletics Pavilion with coaches' offices, locker rooms, satellite athletic training facility, and the Jamie Case-Babson classrooms
Leatherby Libraries The state-of-the-art, 100,000 square foot Leatherby Libraries building houses ten discipline-specific libraries, with space for more than 300,000 books, bound volumes, and media. Named in honor of the Leatherby family, Orange County's 2003 Philanthropists of the Year, the new facility is located at the heart of campus, serving as an information hub and a dynamic and welcoming forum for the exploration of ideas.
