Career AssessmentsSometimes career assesment "tests" are useful tools for helping people understand their interests, skills, values and personality more clearly, but they are not foolproof diagnostic tools that tell you what you should be.Self-assessment is a critically important part of the career development process, and can be accomplished through self reflection, the guidance of a career counselor, and/or career assessments. The Career Development Center primarily uses the Strong Interest Inventory and the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. If you are interested in taking a career assessment, make an appointment to talk to a career counselor to determine which assessment is most appropriate for you. Beginning Fall Semester 2006, students will be charged a fee for each assessment. |
