Find an InternChapman's Internship Program is managed through the Career Development Center (CDC) and in conjunction with the academic departments. Whereas some academic programs list an internship as part of the degree requirement, other programs encourage students to elect an internship and many students pursue the opportunity to earn academic credit to gain faculty mentorship in a field of interest. We invite you to join our network by listing your employer profile and internship posting on Panther Connect, designed specifically for Chapman Students and powered by the NACElink Network. Chapman supports equal opportunity for all students, and, therefore, does not pre-screen students for internship positions. Students are encouraged to apply for an internship as they would for any job. Therefore, qualified students contact the employer directly as instructed on the posting. Most employers request resumes for review, then contact the students and conduct interviews. Panther Connect postings are categorized according to job responsibilities, qualifications, class level and major. Start early! Students at Chapman are likely to be looking for internships year-round however the following recruitment windows match the trends for each academic term. We encourage you to start looking for interns anywhere from two weeks to six months before the next term to build a significant applicant pool. The term dates are: Fall Semester: Late August through mid-December Be as flexible as possible. Interns are hired on a temporary basis during the school year when classes are in session. Students often juggle a rigorous schedule of classes, homework, internship employment and other employment or activities. Most employers can expect interns to work 7-20 hours a week during the school year and up to 40 hours a week during the summer. |
